The First Taste of Grapefruit

This painting was inspired by a childhood memory of trying grapefruit for the first time—sour, bitter, and not very sweet. Even so, its vibrant colors and natural beauty stayed with me.
Through this piece, I wanted to capture that contrast between taste and appearance—the bold pinks, warm oranges, and soft light that make something so bitter look so beautiful.
Painted with acrylic paint on a panel canvas and finished with a glossy varnish to enhance the color and shine.
